Modernizing The All-time Gem Wagon R To Maruti Suzuki Stingray

For a company to deliver successful products one after the other is very difficult. Maruti Suzuki has pioneered this art when it comes to automobiles. Out of the top-ten highest selling cars in Indian market Maruti Suzuki always has atleast 3 or 4 models and most of these will be in within the top three. Although most of its cars are more than a decade old for the market, the company has consistently modified these models during their lifetimes to keep them refreshed while not moving away from the primary strength which has been the practicality of the cars. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is one such model which has passed a decade and continues to be the people favourite in India. There have been facelifts to this car, but the major change happened recently when the company decided to launch its popular hatchback Stingray in India. The modernised version of Wagon R - the Stingray has been unveiled in different parts of the world including Europe and Japan few years ago. Its Indian debut is happening in a time when the automobile market is in its worst phase. With new cars flooding in the market on one side and slowing down growth on the other, Maruti Suzuki seems to have chosen the Stingray to be its growth driver for a period until it develops new automobiles for the country.

From the marketís perspective the Stingray may look like a damage controller, but as a fresh model the hatchback is much more futuristic in its looks than other competition. Maruti Suzuki has been smart in coming up with this model since it looks dazzling and promises to deliver like a regular hatchback with high mileage figures and roomy interior. Be it the reflector grille of front, alloy wheels or the way the headlamps are shaped, the Stingray looks very modern and jazzy, good enough to attract the young executives. The company has come up with ad campaigns targeted towards the same category of consumers. Even on the interior the refreshments are aesthetic like the unique fabric upholstery, the chrome trims and the piano black finish over doors. The cabin feels different when compared to the Wagon R but equipment and gadgets are almost the same. The Stingray drives like a WagonR because it is the same mill which powers both of these hatchbacks. This means that with the K-Series engine, the Stingray promises good fuel economy as it is the case with its other siblings. Maruti Suzuki Stingray reviews will mostly be similar to those of the Wagon R except for the style quotient which may turn out to be its huge plus point.

Probably Maruti Suzuki is the only marque in India which has made use of pricing strategy in best possible way. Although it positions products having differences of only few tens of thousands, the auto maker has been able to bag consistent sales throughout the portfolio. Maruti Suzuki Stingray too is positioned brilliantly in terms of pricing. The dashing hatchback is slightly costlier than the Wagon R but packs the looks that are desired for its cost. This kind of pricing pushes consumers towards the new hatchback which is capable of assuring the drive of its elder sibling.

Maruti Stingray price varies from Rs. 4.1 lakh to Rs. 4.8 lakh which is about Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 40,000 higher than the price of Wagon R. It is expected Maruti Stingray review will be identical to Maruti Wagon R.
