Mahindra Verito Vibe Challenges

    -
After having longstanding dominance in the SUV market, Mahindraís first step towards the people favourite segments, namely the hatchbacks and sedans segment, happened through its joint venture with Renault. The Logan, the first product of the joint venture came out on Indian roads in 2007. Although this car was not very fruitful for the JV, it was widely appreciated for its practicality, low pricing and efficiency. Fortunately or unfortunately the car was the last product from Renault-Mahindra alliance. Mahindra went on to purchase the license of the design of Logan and refreshed the car to launch it as Verito. With the practicality of Logan and new upgrades from Mahindra, Verito has received decent response in India. The launch of the hatchback version of the Verito gained more attention in Indian automobile sector. This is because the new car indicated the entry of Mahindra into one of the most competitive segments, the hatchback market.

Mahindra has surprised the competitors by coming out with an automobile that can challenge both premium hatchbacks and entry-level sedans. Although the design of the new Verito Vibe might not favour every person at the first sight it is truly impressive as far as functionality is concerned. Wheelbase of 2630 mm means that there is abundant legroom and shoulder room in cabin when compared to rivals whose sedans and hatchbacks have wheelbase which is atleast 50 mm to 200 mm lesser in length compared to that of Verito Vibe. The quality of fabric used for upholstery in Mahindra Verito Vibe can simply amuse passengers for its design and the comfort it offers. There is 330 litres boot space which can be a potential benchmark for other hatchback competitors. The size of boot space is also comparable to the luggage room offered in entry-level sedans. To heighten the joy of ownership there is a 1.5L dCi diesel engine under the hood which comes from house of Renault. This powerful engine is tuned for a punchy yet efficient drive so that the customer can experience the driving authority of a sedan at the cost of a hatchback.

When richness of a sedanís cabin couples with the sporty handling character of a hatchback, the package becomes a wonder and stands superior. Apart from Verito Vibe there are no cars in this genre in Indian market as on today. Use of good quality materials in dashboard has charmed the cabin further while the equipment range which includes air conditioner, internally adjustable ORVM and a music system with four speakers finely extends comfort offered in the space. The strength of Verito Vibe does not exhaust at aesthetics and performing equipment but extends further with safety features like ABS with EBD, driver airbags and collapsible steering column.

With all the talks and buzz about this automobile the initial Mahindra Verito Vibe review has been good and going further the durability of powertrain and components will decide the fate of this hatchback in India. Mahindra offers 3 years of warranty for this car to affirm its quality. This step may have been a necessity for the brand since Verito Vibe is the first hatchback from Mahindra.

Mahindra Verito Vibe has identified itself as a car which can compete with premium hatchbacks as well as entry-level sedans making it a strong contender. So far the Mahindra Verito Vibe review has been good and in the days to come the long term performance of the car will judge its success in India.
